Vancouver to Whistler

Let’s get start with an amazing view of Vancouver like you’ve never seen it before! On Day 1, we travel to the Cypress Mountain lookout for some fantastic photo opportunities, before heading north on the Sea to Sky Highway to take in stunning views of jagged mountain peaks, sparkling glaciers, and peaceful lakes. Then we’ll pause for lunch en route at Alice Lake Provincial Park, in addition to stops at not one, but two waterfalls: Shannon Falls (one of the highest in BC!) and Brandywine Falls. We reach Whistler in the afternoon, with plenty of time to explore before a group dinner and a great night on the town, or rather, village, with more shops, bars and restaurants per sq ft than you can shake a stick at!

Whistler to Vancouver

Good morning! Early risers might want to take advantage of their free morning with a hike on either Whistler or Blackcomb Mountain, or maybe pack some thrills in!  There’s zip-lining, bungee jumping or downhill mountain biking all as optional extras on our tour.  But if you’re looking for a more chilled start to your day, you can find a quiet spot in one of the beautiful parks nearby. In the afternoon, we’ll say goodbye to Whistler, and head back to finish the day in Vancouver, making some great picturesque stops along the way. If you have two days to see some of the best sights in Western Canada, this tour will definitely hit the (beauty) spot!

Moose Accommodation: None. You will need to make your own reservations for tonight.

Please do not book your onward journey on your last day in case of weather or traffic delays.

The Sea to Sky tour to Whistler is jam packed with adventure activities – in just 2 days you can try bungee jumping, ziplining, mountain biking and more. Moose Travel’s Whistler tour offers plenty of options to make the most of the epic mountain scenery.

Optional activities are booked and paid through your Moose tour guide while on the tour. No need to pre-book! The following optional activities are available on this tour:

On the accommodated tour option, accommodation is included for all nights of the tour, in mixed gender, hostel dormitory rooms. Please note that you can request female only dorm rooms, and this is usually possible to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee it.

Most travellers book the accommodated tour option because it provides the best value for your money since we receive discounts from our accommodation providers that aren’t available to the general public. We choose hostels for their budget value, as well as offering great facilities and a warm, friendly atmosphere. By staying in shared dorm rooms you get a chance to meet more people, hang out with other tour guests, and keep the price as low as possible.

If you’d prefer to book your own accommodation, to stay in private rooms or in alternative properties, check out the non-accommodated version of this tour by clicking here.

The Sea to Sky is part of numerous combination tours we offer: the Pacific, Sasquatch, Big West, Tomahawk and Cougar. Some of your fellow travellers will have already explored Vancouver Island together. After you finish in Vancouver, many travellers will continue on towards Banff the following day.

All tour finish times are approximate. We strongly recommend that you DO NOT book onward travel on the final day of the tour, since traffic or other unexpected circumstances may cause delays.

Please note that our itineraries can change and/or activities can be cancelled without notice as a result of circumstances beyond our control, such as weather, traffic and unforeseen events. If this does occur, there may be alternatives available, or you may get to enjoy more free time to explore on your own!

If you’re flexible about when you can travel, consider the pros and cons of our travel seasons. In Low Season, you’ll get the BEST VALUE on our tours, there’s less traffic, and far fewer people at the most popular sites. The trade off is that the weather is typically more variable, cooler and wetter. Plus, a few sites may be closed, and the glacial lakes may still be frozen in the spring, although that’s also beautiful! In Peak Season, everything is open, the weather is more consistent, warmer and generally drier, and the glacial lakes are in their full glory. However, our tours cost more, traffic is busier, and the most popular locations on our itineraries can be very busy. Mid Season is somewhere in between.

We take your safety, and the safety of our staff and partners very seriously. Click here for more information.
