Eating & Drinking

Eating and drinking are a big part of many people’s vacation and with Moose we try and make sure you have a chance to eat how you like.  If you want to save money and make your own meals that is possible as we make frequent supermarket stops along the way and all the hostels have kitchens.  There are some included dinners on the tours (see the tour itinerary for details) and most of the hostels have included (or cheap) breakfast options.  Some of the hostels have cafes with good value options and most of the locations have many different restaurant options if you want to seek that out.  During the tour, en-route in the bus, we most often have picnic lunches so we can enjoy the outdoors and scenic locations.  You will be able to get your picnic supplies at one of our daily supermarket stops.  Your tour guide will keep you up to date on what food you need to pick up as we go.

The legal drinking age in Canada is 19, with the exception of Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba, where the age is 18.  Most of the locations along the way have an assortment of pubs and clubs for those that seek out the nightlife.  Some of the hostels have great pubs in them and they’re a great place to meet new people also!  We get discounts and free entry at select locations in some of the cities.
